It has been such a great last couple of months! Our house is coming along perfectly. After a long (still going) battle with the furnace contractor, we have moved on to putting our drains into the basement. We can't wait to get the house done so that we can enjoy it fully (and start working on the yard)!
This is our tile in our kitchen:
It looks amazing! These pictures were taken in November but the cabinets are all in with plywood counters! Gotta love being poor.
We finally got a kitchen sink in November as well. I know that some people might think its weird, but we had been doing our dishes and things in the tub! Gross and now I have an almost done kitchen. I love it!!
My husband is so talented! He installed the entire system himself. The only thing we have hired out in our house was the furnace (and that was a huge mistake!). I can't believe I married someone so awesome!
And so stylish and sexy (Camo and Dew, can't get any better)!
Anyways....just wanted to let you all know that we are still alive. We are doing great and working hard on our house. We can't wait to be done and have everybody over. We feel so blessed to be in this beautiful home and to have all of the blessings from above we have recieved. I just recieved news of a long term sub job at my high school that would make me full time. This news has come right in the time we need it the most money wise. Of course, just as Jeremy said, everything would work out, but sometimes it is just hard to remember.
Love ya!

SO BUSY!!!
We have been so busy lately! I have been planning lesson plans and getting everything organized with my school stuff and classroom. I absolutely love teaching! Best decision ever!! I would never give it up for the world!
I don't know if we mentioned this, but we got a new dog and she is the cutest thing. Her name is Moose (thanks to Danielle for the name!) and she is a Shih-tzu! She gets along perfectly with Rocky. The hardest part has been to train her. She can't seem to pick up stuff as easily as Rocky did.
Our house is coming great. We have started working on the basement and we tiled our kitchen the last couple of weeks. I'll post some pictures in a bit on that, but it is looking fantastic. I can't wait for the holidays! I am going to clean and get my house ready this weekend for the holidays. I am also going to cook some goodies for thanksgiving and prepare for our family parties!
Anyways...just updating the blog. I have been so busy, but I do promise to post things more!
PS! I've been attending the gym!! My little sister Jaynanne has been my personal trainer. I am determined to lose weight! I probably won't lose the 50 pounds I wanted to this year, but I am already feeling better about myself! Just got to keep it up.

FANTASTIC WEEK
This week has been totally awesome!! I started the week by giving my notice to quit my current job. I decided to become an Intervention Specialist (a tutor at an Elementary School for math/reading) at Ogden School District and then substitute on the side. I was super nervous about doing this, but I knew that I wanted to work in Education so I took a giant leap of faith with the full support of my fantastic husband. I soon got a call to go in and interview at Weber High School in the Weber School District for a part time teaching job. I interviewed and waited patiently for the results.......I GOT THE JOB!!! I am the newest Government teacher at Weber High School!!! Yay!! I start school on Tuesday and I can't wait!
That is really all of the news but here are some more pics and stories on the previous months:
This is our fireplace/living room under construction.....
This is our fireplace/living room now.....
It is so gorgeous! We love it!!
A few months into our remodel, Michelle (Jeremy's Sister), gave us a loaf of pre buttered and garlic french bread. To be honest, we forgot about it until a week after we had recieved it. I decided to cook it for dinner and didn't unwrap it, I just threw it on the grill. Needless to say, this is how it turned out.....
It was a giant loaf of mold!! It smelled so rancid! Disgusting :(
This was our first flower of the year and at our house.....
Anyways, closing note....I know that sometimes life can be hard and depressing. The last several months have been that way since I started my job search. Jeremy was always the stalwart faithful who knew everything would be ok. I didn't have this faith and trust until recently. I made the choice to be ok with anything that was thrown at us. I made an effort to thank my Heavenly Father every single day for the opportunities I was presented with and the blessings we already had. I quit stressing out and being nervous about the future and accepted that everything would work out when it should and it has. Our life has been tremendously blessed and we are so grateful for everything we have been given. Life rocks!!
